Peachtree Audio decco65 et nova125
La marque américaine Peachtree Audio renouvelle une partie de sa gamme d’amplificateurs intégrés ou séparés. Le decco65 remplace un modèle appelé tout simplement decco (lancé 2007) avec une puissance plus confortable ( 65 Watts en 8 Ohms ) tout en restant dans la même philosophie sonore grâce à la présence d’un montage hybride tube et transistors. Le nouveau venu embarque en revanche une toute nouvelle section de conversion numérique/analogique à base d’une puce Sabre bien connue des audiophiles de la planète, ce qui épaulera au mieux les quatre entrées numériques de cet appareil habillé de bois. Tous les signaux transitant par ces entrées numériques sont dirigés vers un étage de conversion à base d’un dac ESS Sabre 9023 de la série Premier Audio qui affiche un rapport de dynamique de 112 dB. L’entrée USB est de type asynchrone avec isolation galvanique afin de préserver la haute qualité de la conversion. La résolution maximale est fixée à 24bits/192kHz sur toutes les entrées. Nous trouvons ensuite, et c’est assez rare, un tube triode stéréo 6N1P juste à la sortie de cet étage de conversion que va suivre un circuit d’amplification haute performance Class D, de même type que ceux qui délivre la puissance de sortie des modèles plus haut de gamme chez Peachtree Audio. En vente pour 999$ cad.

Le nova125 utilise le préampli et même puce que le DAC Decco65, mais il a une puissance supérieure, et offre donc une bonne santé watts porté à 2x125 Watts à 8Ohms, et un énorme 200 Watts à 4 Ohms. Le nova125 est non seulement plus puissant que le decco65, mais supérieur que son petit frère dans le domaine de la dynamique et des micro détails. En vente pour 1499$ cad.

Naim NDS / 555PS
Comme ses deux prédéccesseurs, le Naim NDS est donc un lecteur réseau répondant au protocole UPnP qui lui permet de se connecter à un ordinateur, un disque dur NAS ou à tout périphérique réseau UPnP pour y lire en streaming des fichiers audio WAV, FLAC, ALAC, AIFF, AAC, Windows Media, Ogg Vorbis et MP3. Comme eux, le NDS peut se connecter au réseau à travers une liaison filaire Ethernet ou sans fil, et récupérer les radios Internet via le service vTuner full 5, alors que son port USB lui ouvre les portes d’une clé du même type et la mémoire d’un iPod/iPhone et autres baladeurs MP3. Le NDS prendra la main pour contrôler et afficher le contenu du périphérique.

C’est aussi un convertisseur N/A 24 bits – 192 kHz doté de trois entrées numériques S/PDIF (BNC, RCA et optique), afin de profiter de ses compétences avec un lecteur de CD, Blu-ray ou un ordinateur portable. En revanche, il n’intègre pas de module FM/DAB afin de réduire le niveau de bruit et de jitter, ni d’alimentation interne, afin d’optimiser ses performances à travers une alimentation séparée XP5, XS, XPS et 555 PS. Le constructeur prévoit même la possibilité d’une double alimentation 555PS (la première pour le numérique, la seconde pour l’analogique) pour les plus exigeants et les plus fortunés d’entre nous.

L'architecture interne du lecteur NDS s'appuie sur une séparation physique de ses organes internes. Les circuits de réception (streaming) et DSP, de conversions numérique/analogique, de sortie sont totalement indépendants, isolés mécaniquement par des amortisseurs à baïonnettes métalliques, boulonnés sur des contre-châssis en laiton massif, eux-mêmes découplés du châssis principal en fonte épaisse. Une cage de blindage a même été installée sur le module de streaming ainsi que sur les régulateurs d'alimentation du DSP et du convertisseur. Comme toujours chez Naim Audio, l'isolation mécanique est considérée comme un point fondamental et essentiel. Elle a été extrêmement travaillée sur le NDS jusqu'à amener les fréquences de résonances en dessous de 4 Hz !

Le NDS peut être contrôlé de trois manières. Il possède un afficheur frontal et un clavier ; une télécommande intégrale est également fournie. L’application n-Stream de Naim peut être téléchargée à partir de l’iTunes App Store et offre un contrôle complet du NDS (tout comme les autres produits Naim : NDX, ND5 XS, SuperUniti, NaimUniti et UnitiQute). Cette application donne également accès au System Automation permettant de régler le volume et les entrées sur la plupart des lecteurs et préamplis naim CD, au sein d’un système hifi existant.

Naim UnitiLite
La marque anglaise Naim, spécialiste dans le monde de la Haut-Fidélité, présente son nouveau tout-en-un au format « slimline » : le UnitiLite. Il est à la fois un lecteur CD, un lecteur réseau UPnP, un convertisseur numérique-analogique et un amplificateur 50 Watts / canal. Il peut se connecter au réseau domestique via WiFi ou le port Ethernet pour accéder aux radios internet ou lire tous vos fichiers musicaux : WAV et AIFF (192/32), FLAC (192/24), Apple Lossless, AAC, WMA, Ogg Vorbis et MP3. Un port USB permet aussi de connecter MP3, iPod, clés USB et disques durs. Sa connectique se compose aussi de deux entrées coaxiale et optique gérant respectivement le 192 kHz et le 96 kHz, et une entrée et sortie RCA analogique. L’UnitiLite se contrôle via un certain nombre d’interfaces utilisateur, et notamment par l’application iOS n-Stream pour appareils tactiles iPad, iPhone et iPod. Elle permet d’explorer pleinement sa collection de musique, d’éditer des listes de lecture, d’enregistrer les présélections de ses stations de radio préférées, et dispose désormais d’une amélioration de l’affichage des pochettes d’albums.

NAD M51
Plus qu’un simple convertisseur numérique-analogique, le NAD M51 est un véritable préampli doté de six entrées numériques, dont deux HDMI et surtout d’un port USB audio classe 2 compatible 192 kHz. Agissant uniquement dans le domaine numérique, le réglage de volume n’affecte en rien la dynamique du signal et conserve un équilibre droite/gauche parfait, sans la moindre distorsion, ni bruit parasite. La pureté absolue.La technologie Direct Digital du NAD M51 fait appel à un puissant processeur opérant à une fréquence plus élevée et avec une meilleure précision que les actuels convertisseurs numérique - analogique. L’incroyable précision du NAD M51 apporteà la musique une précision et un réalisme qui fait plaisir à entendre. La conversion du PCM en PWM élimine complètement le jitter des signaux numériques entrants, et grâce à la haute précision de l’horloge interne et de l’algorithme des filtres de reconstructions, le rendu est exempt d’artefact numérique. Enfin, un circuit analogique en classe A avec une impédance de sortie très basse font du NAD M51 le complément idéal des amplis de puissance audiophiles, d’autant que les sorties symétriques et asymétriques sont proposées.

En plus de proposer les entrées numériques optique, coaxiale et AES/EBU, le NAD M51 ajoute un port USB audio classe 2, qui dépasse les possibilités des versions standards en assurant une compatibilité jusqu’à 192 kHz, contre 96 kHz.
